Law: Appellate

Law: Appellate

I have many years of legal experience in appellate settings, including 3 years as Judicial Law clerk for the Chief Justice and an Associate Justice at the Louisiana Supreme Court, 2 more years as Board Counsel for the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board (appellate entity of lawyer discipline in Louisiana), and one year at an intermediate Court of Appeal (the Louisiana Fourth Circuit).

Additionally, I taught appellate practice for two years at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and then worked as the Appellate Brief-Writer for the Law Department of the City of New Orleans writing appellate briefs for all sections (Civil, Zoning, Fire and Police, etc.), which included over 60 litigators.

Over the past 15 years, I have written appellate briefs for solo lawyers around the States of Louisiana and Texas (lived in Austin for 3 years post-Hurricane Katrina).

If you are a busy solo practitioner, who doesn’t have time or the inclination to write your own appellate briefs, please consider discussing the option of my helping you with this arduous, but (for me) exciting legal task. I am told that my fees are reasonable and that my work is exceptional in quality. I will be happy to provide references upon request.
